RE: Squeaky Floors - Ideas?

My Rexhall also has developed some squeaks over time. I found that if I look at the bottom of the floor from inside the storage compartment while my wife walks over the squeak, I could see where the movement was. Some places had screws that I tightened and others had to be shimmed.

RE: What to see & do in Arizona

If you are of that age group, visit Cooperstown in Phoenix. This is Alice Coopers restaurant in Phoenix.

RE: I-40 south on CA 95 or AZ 95?

Take AZ-95 and enjoy the views. If you are going west on I-10, take CR-1 to I-10 when you get to Parker. If you are going East just stay on 95.

RE: how important is it to have fuel full during winter storage?

Have you ever been behind a car in the morning that is pouring water out the exhaust pipe? That is just the water that condensed in the exhaust system over night. Just imagine how much can accumulate in your gas tank during the winter.

RE: I used most of my 5000MB on Verizon Aircard

After reading all this I am tempted to go over 5 GB just to see what will happen. Since my account says Unlimited, if they throttled me down and/or charged me more I would have to challenge them on it. Sounds a little unlawful to me.

RE: I used most of my 5000MB on Verizon Aircard

I have heard of this 5 GB limit but have not found any reference to it on their web site. I looked at the Customer Agreement and Terms and Conditions and the only reference I can find to limits is the paragraph titled Data Plans and Features: Prohibited Uses which list things like webcams and file sharing. Also my account, started in 2005, says I have unlimited usage.

RE: Buyers remorse?

It is a very pretty unit, and I guess, that is what attracted us, but now after trying to move in, we are finding looks can be deceiving.Having an engineering background, I never get caught up in the glitter. I am more practical in my purchases so I never experience buyer’s remorse.

RE: Lake San Antonio campgrounds - Near Paso Robles, CA

Sites are not very level, no sewer hookups. Other than that is't one of our favorites.

Hey guys and gals...spent a beautiful Florida day trying to figure out why my house batteries haven't been charging on shore power. :?Let’s back up here a minute. First, what make you believe your house batteries are not charging while hooked up to shore power?

I like the sunscreen idea with no drilling thanks for the link. I tried the flush king but it won't work because there is not enough room in the compartment to get it on. The hole through the compartment floor is just off-set enough that you can't get anything straight to work either. I guess I will have to look into getting something permanent installed, maybe like the tornado. Thanks for the ideas.I use the sunscreen that Lee mentioned, in fact I think I was the one that turned Lee on to it. I have been using it for over 4 years with no problems. It takes less than 2 minutes to install and I don’t need a ladder. Get the Tornado installed. It is the best way to flush your tanks. Our motorhome came with this kind of system installed in both the gray and black tank.

RE: Another Magnatek Converter Thread......(PICS ADDED!)

The wiring on my unit is a bit confusing. There are 2 little black "boxes" (relays (??) each with 2 posts) where the wires from the converter and batteries meet. 2 wires come off the batteries...1 goes to one of the "relays" and one to the other "relay". It seems there are 3 wires coming from the converter...2 red and one black. The one black goes to one of the "relays", and the 2 reds go together on one post on the other relay.Your converter should only have 2 wires coming out of it, one red (Positive) and one white (Negative). They charge the battery and provide 12VDC power to the motorhome at the sane time. The Boxes that have 2 terminals with wire attached are circuit breakers. One or both may be bad. Checking for voltage on both terminals will NOT tell you if they are bad because you could be reading battery voltage on one side and converter voltage on the other side. You really need to disconnect the wires from one side of the breaker and check for continuity across the breaker. One way to check if the converter voltage is getting to the batteries is to connect a voltmeter to the batteries, note the voltage, then unplug the converter (if you can). If the voltage drops slightly and continues to slowly drop, the converter was charging your batteries. Verify that the converter is charging by plugging the converter back in and observe that the battery voltage raises.

RE: Mid CA RV.net SAL Rally - Feb. 13th & 14th 2009

Click Here This is a Rally we attend here last Saturday. We went just for the day. The place is only about 50 miles from home and we wanted to stay home for Halloween. Because we didn't know how the neighborhood would be for Trick or Treaters... We had lots of little kids and discovered that we could have not been here. Next year we will know we can go away for Halloween. Note the first picture..... They Roast Krispy Cream Glaze Donuts over a open fire here... They actually taste GOOOOOOD..... They also have Hose Pipes back here....Roasted Krispy Kremes over an open fire…Must be a Red Neck thing. Ha! Hose pipes, I remember that. Brings back memories. What was in the Dutch Ovens? Looks good!

Day/Night Shades String

The place I used to get my Day/Night Shades string from doesn’t stock it anymore. Where do you all get yours from? I would like to but a roll of at least 100 yards. Also do you know what diameter it is? I have seen it online in at least 4 different sizes, .9, 1.2, 1.4, and 2mm.

Judy, If you've got any of those granite countertops left over, I could use one. Here's the interior of the TT the day it was "delivered". :S http://i33.tinypic.com/zlepeb.jpgLove the wall paper.

RE: Mid CA RV.net SAL Rally - Feb. 13th & 14th 2009

I have been selected to test a new GPS called the DashExpress. With a live internet connection it can do things like do dynamic routing that uses current traffic info to find the fastest route, it can search for restaurants, movie theaters, gas stations, etc... but because of the internet connection, it will also give you the current gas prices, movie listings, weather and more. But don't get caught using your cell phone while driving.
